week 3

I do believe and agree that our knowledge is based on the use of our sense. Every body in the world views there surroundings differently depending on past experiences. Some one who has grown up in a upper class environment see the world way differently than someone in the lower class. You can't compare yourself with nobody and that is a reason on why we all are unique in some way or another.

Descartes week 2

Week 2 was a very interesting one. I actually enjoyed reading about methological skepticism and about Descartes and ect. It really opens up your mind and it makes question your life while reading. I do believe that we tend to believe things until it becomes impossible  to believe them, rather than doubting everything we can because we tend to overthink and we tend to believe that things like that only happen in movies. We tend to doubt ourselves as people and our capabilities. Another thing I enjoyed about this week was the discussion board it's always interesting to see what others think about and the similarities you have with others. Sometimes we realize we agree with each others thoughts. So talking about "The Matrix" and how it can relate to what we learn this week was an eyeopener. It made you evaluate the film in a much different way.

How is philosophy supposed to be liberating?

  • Philosophy is liberating because it's a way in which you can explore your mind and explore the questions you have about history, humans, and just about everything. It gives you the option to learn about you questions and know the facts and the truth about a topic. It's a way in which you can feel free to study anything on your time. The way you can use different methods to get the answer to your question. It's the ability to gain wisdom!
